Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Haridwar to Joshimath(6,960ft) (255km; 9-10hr drive)

You will begin your journey with us from Haridwar. Starting the drive from Haridwar from the appointed pickup point (Haridwar railway station), we will take the fabled Badrinath Road. Trekkers will be picked from Haridwar at 6:30am in a Tata Sumo or a similar vehicle (cost is not included)
 Arrive at Joshimath by approx. 5 pm ,Breakfast and Lunch on the way (exclusive of charges) Accommodation at the guest house
 The drive to Joshimath is 9/10 hours long, along the sacred rivers – Alaknanda, Mandakini and Ganga. Devprayag is en route at the confluence of river Bhagirathi and Alaknanda. This is beautiful place. Reach Joshimath base camp, relax in a hotel, in the evening you can explore nearby areas. Get back, have dinner and enjoy comfortable stay in the hotel.

Day 2 : Drive Joshimath to Dhak by taxi (12km) same day trek to Gulling top

    You will begin from Joshimath in the steep ascent you will witness the giant mountains in front of you, and the most pampered mountain which is known as sleeping Lady Mountain, the creation of God is just amazing. Start the ascent and on the trail some shepherded huts are visible. Then trek through the forests of Oak, Deodar and Rhododendrons. Dhauli Ganga River flows below near the Hydro power plant, now you are about to reach a village named “Tugasi” trekking here would be a relief because the trail is leveled. Continue walking on the path again you will witness the outstanding Dronagiri peak that will make your heart go numb and later we will reach the Gulling top, home for the day.

Day 3 : Trek from Gulling to Tail camp

Wake up early in the morning and do not miss the morning sight of Chaukhamba peaks. After having breakfast leave for Tail camp. It will be approx 5 hrs journey today, deep into the forest almost after 20 min of the trek. You will reach the green wood by overlooking the snow peak and that greenery will boost up your mind and soul. Trek to Tali top is through fresh green vegetation and red rhododendron flowers. Forest hut(9,920ft) which is 1km away from Chitra khantha is the last water point so make sure you got your’e water bottles filled.  You will reach the second clearing after about an hour. All this time, you will cross small streams along the trail. The water in them is clean and you can drink it.  This campsite is a forest clearing with some exotic views of Dronagiri Mountains and Hathi Ghoda peaks. Enjoy spending a night here in peace. After having dinner sleep comfortably in your tents.

Day 04: Tali camp to Kuari pass and back via Khullara top

Fourth day is the summit day, likely to span 10-11 hours depending on the group’s pace. You need to gear up appropriately for high snow and squalling wind on the ridges today. There is going to be no water source found on the way today,so carry enough to sustain you through.
    The trail from Khullara begins to climb steeply out of the tree line. In 1-1.5 hours you reach a ridge, which is a part of Lord Curzon’s trail. From here 360 degree views of the Himalayas open up before you.  From the ridge, trek up to Kuari top. This is a moderate climb with a few switch backs. It will take you  40 minutes.
The climax of this trek comes with a visual bang exposing a host of Garhwal behemoth peaks, unveiling—Kedarnath Peak, Kedardome, Chaukhambha, Balakun, Neel Kantha, Mukut Parvat, Kamet, Abhi Gamin, Mana I, Ghori Parvat, Hathi Parvat, Dronagiri, Kalanka, Changabang, Nanda Devi, Nanda Ghunti. The magnificence of this vision is incomparable.

Day 5: Tali top(11,520ft) – Auli (8km trek) – Joshimath(6,960ft) (12km drive)

Today we will advance towards Auli—the skiing capital of India, and one of the most famous in south Asia. Exploring the beautifully snow patched rolling valleys of Gorson Bugyal, we will come down to Auli through a sweetly enjoyable journey. Then follows trek to Gurson Bugyal(meadows; 11,150ft) which is 3.5km trek, follows another 3.5km trek to the road beside Rishi Ganga River where is the taxi is waiting to drive you back to Joshimath(6,960ft.  On the way is a beautiful small temple, from here, the downhill trek gets easy. Ahead, reach the Upper Auli and head to main Auli. Continue trekking and reach there in an hour. Auli is a great snow destination in winters. Upon reaching Auli, a eady cable-car ride will take you to Joshimath, floating over the magnificent ski resort, the softly undulating snow covered slopes and browning pine forest fringes.

Day 6 : Return : Drive from Joshimath to Haridwar via Rishikesh by taxi (258 km) (9/10 Hours)

Today last breakfast with Himalayan Hikers After breakfast leave early 6 am, have your lunch in route and you can reach Haridwar evening 5 to 6 Pm
               On Day 6, you’ll reach Haridwar between 6 pm and 7 pm. You can book your travel any time after 9 pm.
